Summer is the busiest season at the movie theater. Parents need a way to entertain the kids with school out of session. Watching a film in an air-conditioned theater is also a great way to beat the heat. This boom in ticket sales is why the year’s most anticipated movies are always released in the summer. These are the five movies everyone must watch at the theater this summer.

Men in Black: International

The secret alien police force returns for a new film after a seven-year hiatus on June 14. Unlike the previous films in the series, “Men in Black: International” will not star Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. The new film will follow new agents played by Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as they attempt to stop a series of alien attacks in London.

Toy Story 4

The fourth installment of the popular “Toy Story” franchise will hit theaters on June 21. “Toy Story 4” will pick up several years after the previous film when Woody, Buzz and the other toys have to escape their home to save a new friend. The great thing about “Toy Story 4” is that parents and children of all ages will enjoy the movie.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

There is always at least one big-budget superhero action film released every summer. This year that movie is “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” Peter Parker’s alter ego will have to team up with a partner as he takes on a dangerous group called The Elementals. The mixture of action, comedy and drama makes this the perfect summer film.

The Lion King

“The Lion King” is perhaps the most beloved animated movie of all-time. The highly anticipated live-action remake will hit theaters on July 19. Everyone may already know the wonderful story and songs, but the beautiful visual effects are something everyone will want to see on the big screen.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino’s ninth feature film will hit the big screen on July 26. Details on the plot have been scarce, but any film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margo Robbie is a must-watch. The late release makes this a perfect date night film for parents after a long summer with the kids.
